June 24, 2025 at 2PM ET | 11AM PT
Presenters: Drs. Maureen Boyle & Donovan Mause
Description: Benzodiazepines are critical medications, but they are often overused and challenging to discontinue. Ten medical and professional societies collaborated to develop the new Joint Clinical Practice Guideline on Benzodiazepine Tapering, which aims to help clinicians in diverse practice settings determine whether and how to taper BZDs. This seminar will discuss the clinical recommendations in the Guideline and how healthcare systems and policy makers can support effective implementation of the guideline and avoid potential harms.
